The committee is responsible for the smooth running of the club and keeping on top of issues that have an effect on membership. Committee meetings are held every other month and any issues can be raised by contact committee members on the list below.
Mags has recently become Diving Officer at the club after training from Ocean Diver to Open Water Instructor. As Diving Officer, I am responsible for our Diving and Snorkelling in the pool, Open Water and on our many trips. I endeavour to dive with all club members, new or old, trainees or experienced, lessons can be learned at every dive. I love a Bedford Scuba Divers trip and am always looking forward to the next one!! If you have any questions, I am here to help. I usually answer our emails, so am often the first point of contact for new members/enquiries.
Honestly, when I first joined Bedford Scuba Divers, I was just buzzing to go diving as much as possible. This club quickly became a massive part of my life, and I wanted to do my bit to help out.
So, the Treasurer role… I know, I know, it sounds like the world’s most boring job! And let’s be real, spreadsheets aren’t quite as fun as swimming with seals. But I figured if I could handle the numbers and keep our finances in good shape, it frees everyone else up to just enjoy the diving. My goal is simple: make sure our money is spent wisely so we can plan awesome trips, get decent kit, and keep the club thriving without anyone having to worry about the boring stuff.
Tracy deals with the serious side of the club life. Organises our Committee meetings and of course our AGM.
Josh always has a welcome smile for all our new members whether you want to meet at the pool or the bar!! He learnt to dive with the club and progressed to Assistant Diving Instructor.
Becks has been involved with the club training for a long while. She work hards to update training skills and scheduling training to improve new divers experiences with in the club.
DJ does all things boating and well as being our Boat Handling Instructor.
Ollie organises our social activities, BBQ and nights out, our summer get together and our ever popular Christmas Bash.
Kristian is always a friendly face at the club, if you have any queries or concerns, she can help or point you in the right direction”
