If you’re interested in scuba diving or fancy trying out the sport for the first time then come along to one of our try dive sessions and blow some bubbles.
Or if you’re already a diver, feel free to come along to the pool for a refresher, or the pub for a chat and a pint! We welcome divers from all organisations (e.g. PADI, SSI, CMAS), and you can get to know divers of a similar experience level and even further your training with us.
We hold our regular club night on Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm at Bedford Girls School swimming pool, this allows a safe and ideal controlled environment for confined water training and a general swim if that’s all you require or just to meet up with friends to blow a few bubbles.
Then later in the evening at Bedford Rowing Club at 8.45pm for chat and a catch up, it also has all the facilities we need for holding lectures and meetings.
From beginner to highly experienced, at Bedford Scuba Divers, a full diver training programme is available to enable divers to progress through the framework of BSAC courses at their own pace leading to internationally recognised qualifications. We are also able to offer a range of BSAC skill development courses for you to learn new skills and enhance your new diving adventures.
The club operates a rigid inflatable boat (RIB) around which the majority of our UK sea diving programme is based and sometimes we just take it for a spin on the river for a bit of boating practice. Any members can also learn how to drive the boat on our boat handling courses.
