The British Sub Aqua Club
Contains a wealth of information on a host of subjects such as: BSAC itself, the range of training courses that are available,
incident reports, reviews of dive destinations, how to find a local club and a popular forum on which you will probably find the answer to any question that
you might have.
Mavericks Diving also Ocean Optics
Based in Basildon, Essex, they provide great advice that's backed up by a wealth of experience,
a good range of kit and an exceptionally informative web site. Also, they have on-site access to
the six metre deep pool of 'Action Underwater Studios' (the location of the underwater scenes of a
host of films including James Bond and Harry Potter)
Here one can try out a prospective purchase or just practise your skills.

Based in Milton Keynes near the 'Blue Lagoon' Diver City offers extremely friendly service and good kit at very reasonable prices.

A free to view on line 'television' running a wide range of films professionally produced by international filmmakers featuring a wide range of underwater subjects.
Yorkshire Divers
One of the most popular online diving forums - and - fortunately you don't have to be from Yorkshire to join in.
Dive Magazine
The web pages of Dive magazine. Provides online access to a large back catalogue of news, reviews articles and an on-line forum.
Divernet
The web presence of Diver magazine. As well as giving online access to past articles and reviews it has its own online forum.
Dive Girl
An entertaining read and not just for women. Its pages include such useful articles as 'Diving bras' and 'How to wee at sea'.
UwP (Underwater Photography)
A free bi-monthly web based magazine that is a great resource for sub-aquatic photographers.
X-Ray Mag
Billing itself as an 'International Lifestyle Magazine For Divers' X-Ray Mag is a free magazine that may be downloaded in PDF format.
Its articles cover a wide range of subjects and certainly have an international flavour. The images that appear on its virtual pages are often very impressive.
Cyber Diver News Network
A range of news, articles and opinions. Although there is a North American bias its well worth reading.
Nigel Hewitt's 'Rant' page
Some very sensible ideas on diving very well expressed.
FINS: A Series of Independent, Comparative Tests
James Grier's in-depth experiments in to the efficiency of various designs of fins.
Diver Location Aids: HSE Report
An extremely illuminating and well written report into the effectiveness of various surface detection aids such as marker buoys, flags and flares.
The London Diving Chamber
Not only might they cure you of the 'bends' but they also run courses, hold seminars, give you a medical, provide advice
and a free consultation if you suspect that you might have suffered a bend. If nothing else, put their number on your phone.
The Marine Conservation Society (MCS)
A UK charity dedicated to the protection of the marine environment and its wildlife. Includes information about marine resources and current threats.
The Shark Trust
A UK charity dedicated to promoting the study, management and conservation of sharks, skates and rays.

Has a very useful FAQ list and an extensive list of diving related links.
